Company foundation: In the year 1965 Ing. Armin Plankel establishes the company Plankel Grund- und Bohrtechnik in Wolfurt/Vorarlberg. Our company for well sinking, keeper, piles and special civil engineering is specialized in exploratory drilling and exploration of ground water and soil conditions.
The company designed and constructed tools and drills for subsistence for a long time.
Because of continuous quality intensification and the amplification of test facilities the company establishes beyond the Austrian border.
In the year 1980 the company expanded and a new branch in Villach under control of Mr. Grubinger was established. Because of the central location the eastern and southern counties can be attended better and cheaper.
Because of that the company got new challenges, which administrated to expanded future prospects. Drills for difficult areas were added. The core-drilling and win the core would be adjusted to the relative proportions, so that the technical experience and know-how of our company was and will be always up to date.
Our administration is always anxious to work with well known employers and geologists. Throughout 40 years there were no claims for damages concerning lack of quality or work.
The quality of our accomplishments throughout the country is approved. It is a trademark of our company.
In the overlap we are able to drill 150 to 200m, in solid rocks down to 1000m, deep boreholes.
1998 - Ing. Armin Plankel sales the company´s shares to Helmut Grubinger, Helmut Grubinger jun., Michael Grubinger.
20.10.1999 – Opening of the new headquarter in Paternion.
2000 - Project Brennertunnel: 2 new rigs plus equipment were bought. Because of that we had the ability to get the project Brenner with a contract volume of 4.4 billion Euros with 2 ARGE-partners (Foralith and Vicenzetto).
705.8m, 560m and 280m vertical and 270m horizontal boreholes were accomplished during the project.
